work + life

i was on course the whole of last wk. labview basics 1 n 2. it was at the strategy. good food everyday. course started at 9ish n we had breaks (n i mean buffet) at 1030, n lunch (at restaurants, cafes) at 12:30pm n tea break at 3:30pm. omg! it was some kind of a food festival week. we lunched at secret recipe at imm on monday, penang place lunch buffet (something which i've yearned for) on tue, eating-in buffet on wed, olive bistro on thur n another eating-in buffet on fri. so it was a happy week for me!

now, back to work. i'm soooo dead! i can't squeeze a single thing out for my review! i hope for all brainy engineers to bless me on this! =) books, papers, writing pads n what-nots are in front of me now.. but still no link. i feel that my brain is dried. no brain juice left. not even a drop. a sad me. think clarice think!! urrghh.. =(

was reading through my archives n i read that i cudn't wait to get out of students' life. life is full of contradictions. not that i'm not enjoying myself. but i can't understand y i wanted to get out of that fun-filled life. tho exams were inevitable, but i enjoyed the life then, well, compared to now. work that i have to do now are responsibilities. at least, that's how i feel. urghh.. i guess it's just the beginning, n it's always tough to start on something. someone, please give me the strength, motivation n brains to carry on!


on a happier note, i've ordered some coach stuff! muahaha! it's arriving next wk n i'll get to c my precious soon! mum sponsoring me, my darling too n so i'm a happy girl now!! so loved. =)

one sunday evening

i'm feeling much better already!! yay! thanks to all who asked bout me.. =) love u all! left w a bit of cough n a not-so-blocked nose.. =)

í'm spending my sunday at home.. i woke up at 2pm today by my mum. i wonder why n how i can sleep for so long. =) i downloaded 4 songs! so i have 4 new songs.. lol. happy. n i'm chatting w serene.. suddenly, memories of leeds start flooding. i love n hate that place. =) 2 years didn't come by easy, that easy. but i feel so blessed that i have my darling w me now. days apart n how we coped being together again, getting used to having each other in our lives. all these didn't come by easy too. =)

i'm supposed to start my reading for a review but i can't seem to understand what is expected of me. hate it . =( help help help!!! maybe i'll just read tonite..

anyway, wf n i went out w mq n fiona yest. orchard. shop shop, talk talk n walk walk. i tried pasta cafe, the one at taka.. it was my first time trying it. not too bad. anyway, i bought a long sleeved shirt n pull n bear (i think, forgot what the name of the shop is), but i forgot to bring it home. it's at wf's house. grrr.. *grumbles* we went ntu after that cos he forgetful him forgot something n then we went macdonalds near my place (the new one) where he had his cup of tea (which wasn't sweet enough). then home we went!!


sunday aside, i spent yest w my cousins n aunties n uncle. baby hongren came to my house ard 9 yesterday. he played w the red car as usual, n my mum n i brought him to paragon n then the race course temple. this baby enjoys taking buses n trains. but he prefers the bus, SBS one. lol. he gets sooo excited when he sees a bus. i wonder why. =) he admires the scenery when he's in the bus, so he's very quiet.. cute! anyway, after the temple, we went to eat at restaurant, (those that have many old, regular customers) n then to my youngest aunt's place. we had so many mangoes. yum yum! then wf came, played w the toddlers abit n we left to meet the 2 girls.

the little ones are really adorable. seeing n playing w them brightens my day! heh. i'm enjoying my life now.. (not the reading n understanding what i'm supposed to do bit). other than that, ALL's WeLL!

a sick week

i've been ill for the past week. =( was sneezing non-stop the whole of monday. i thot it was just sensitive nose, so i took panadol cold relief, sleep n all would be well. BUT BUT BUT, i was wrong! had fever in the middle of the nite, woke up on tue morn feeling terrible. perspiring all over, n i felt giddy. omg!! took mc, cos i was really ill. when i woke up ard 10, i nearly fainted cos for some strange reason, i can't walk too much or i'll feel like i was going to blackout. oh my!! but after some yong tau foo soup that my dad prepared, i felt much better. it was only then i went to see the doc. =)

things didn't get any better for the next 2 days. thur was the worst! i woke up yest w a splitting headache!! couldnt move my head at all. sore throat, super blocked nose, headache, fever bodyache sure didn't make things any better!! i had a safety briefing in the morning n a researchers forum in the noon. i stoned throughout. panadol didn't work very well. fever last nite, i rem waking in the middle of the nite wearing jumper n track pants, w blanket n i was still shivering!! (reminded myself of the days in cold leeds) haha. goodness me.

my mum was soo nice this morning.. she suggested taking cab to work w me. =) so i shared the cab w her till buona vista..

felt so much better today n so i'm back to remind myself how eekie it is to fall sick. =(

i got a new phone!

finally, i decided on a phone w/o camera.. after looking around n asking some shops in pearl centre, i bought one! nokia 2626. though it's a downgrade, i was still excited bout checking out this new phone. ha! it's still a new phone afterall. n it's the nicest camera-less phone around. others either looked too squarish, too toyish (like those my little cousins play w), too cheapo, so u get the idea.. so mine is one of the better ones around.. n i've decided to sell my SE K800i. =(

anyway, went out w darling, mum n aunt.. a day w aunties for him. lol. ate at tiong bahru market, (the new one!) one with escalator! wenfeng ordered lor mee, mum ordered rojak w cuttlefish, my aunt, fried oysters n i ordered char kway teow + $1 hums! hahaha.. after that, we headed for the macpherson's fishhead, fried spinach, n lala! WOAH! i was stuffed. anyway, went home after that, which is now.. haha. im happy.. cos i had soo much food, yummy ones! =)

anyway, tmr is the start of work again!! =) i love everyone around me..

chalet + details

it's my rest day today! been out for the past 3 nites. thur nite was a farewell nite by abb colleagues. went holland v's crystal jade n then wala wala for drinks. drank 3 pints within 2 hrs. but fun! n the saddest part was that we had to work the next day. reached home bout 12+ n woke up at 5+ the next day! haha. rushed in the morn cos i hadn't pack beforehand, n hence i was late! lucky for me cos i've got a colleage staying at bishan, so i took a cab there n got a lift from him to work! phew! then went for wf's mum's chalet at loyang after work on fri-sun. so i'm totally shagged out. chalet was fun fun fun!

went roller-blading w my darling on fri nite, around pasir ris park. 2nd time in my blades! haha. i adore this pair of roller blades. =) n saturday, we brought his niece, cheryl for a grocery spree at white sands. she's so fun to be w. then was to tiong bahru cos i had to collect my contact lenses i bought the day b4. then pick his sis-in-law up n then bbq time!! i love crabsticks.. yum yum.. bbq-ed ones.. hehe. i loved the satay too! cos there's a layer of fats between chunks of meat. so YUMMY! BIG YUM! so delicious. haha! mq, richard, hean, shirley n teck soon came too. the chalet was real big la.. if only my house is going to be this big next time! lol. but i hate the mozzies, lizards, centipede/milipede/caterpillar n all the weird insects!! eww!

after our friends left, we played some funny card game w his friends. the idea of the game was not to get small card n whether or not to trust ur friends. heh. then was bedtime. tired. slept bout 6 hrs the 1st nite n 4 the next.

sunday was spent packing up n home we went! went breakfast w his sis-in-law, n we had kuay chap!! yum yum! i love the chewy chewy intestines n the yummy egg white n the chilli! everything's nice la. haha. den nua-ed abit n went to amk hub to shop shop a bit. ate again too. hehe. ate wantan mee, which was again quite nice too! after that, he sent her home, n i went back to nua at his house again.. then dinner time! woohoo! eating time again.. had fish soup.. this bowl of fish soup was oso very very good! u noe.. rice in soup, then fresh slices of fish n all the preserved veg (tong cai).. makes it totally sumptuous!!


I'lll be starting work tmr finally!!ol. mixed feelings now. i'm looking forward to undertake all challenges ahead of me. i hope to deal w them bravely n w an open mind. i know i'll have alot to learn. i want to take this opportunity to broaden my horizons, learn everything i can of engineering, weapons, n all. however, i'm starting to feel that it's a little daunting cos i know it'll be very competitive in there, well, at least from my impression of the company. above it all, i hope i can achieve something n learn everything that comes along. wish me luck!

all in all, my life is in the 'happy time' now n i'm really appreciating it.. appreciating all the goodness that are in my life now.. =)
