welcome qianling~!! goodbye shirley..

shirley's leaving again.. this is her 6th year. sad. partings are always so sad. on a lighter note, she'll be back in a year! for good.. for good is it?

i can't believe it. a flight delayed for 12 hours?? the thought of it already scares me. ql's flight was delayed for 12 hours!! 12!! omg. i think i'll just faint on the spot so that time will pass faster. hahaha. a 10am departure flight was hence delayed till 10pm..

the four of us went out yesterday, cos the 5th one was still on the flight.. we just couldn't reach a mutual agreement. after much contemplation on the menu for dinner, we decided on swenson's. haha. shirley n weitian ordered chicken baked rice, joanna ordered fish baked rice n i wanted salmon n mushroom baked rice. we all enjoyed our food totally, cos all were starving. lol. anyway, we had topless 5 for dessert. weitian suggested that cos it was more 'worth' than earthquake. topless 5, as the name depicts, consists of 5 flavours of ice-cream without any toppings for $7.20, while earthquake has also 5 or is it 4 scoops of ice-cream with toppings n a few cubes of dry ice for approx $15 (around there)..

we had a good talk or shall i say laughing session. as usual, shirley's laughter was so loud the whole swenson's was filled with her laughter.. haha! shirley bought some crispy cream donuts. yum. 4 different flavours for 4 of us. =)

anyway, wf drove us back after that, n i slept at 12am. 2nd nite consecutively. so i hereby declare that i'm VERY TIRED. *yawns* im going to sleep at 8pm today to make up all the loss of sleep for the past 2 days. alritey, i'm now waiting to knock off, go home n watch yan1 zhi1 shui2 fen3!!

an afternoon with baby hongren..

it was nearly 1pm when i woke up yesterday. after some time, i was still lying on the bed in the comfort of my covers when my mum brought hongren into the room. muahaha! i was pleasantly surprised.. so i decided to really wake up.. 'sayang-ed' the baby then went to wash up.. he's so cute! he entertained himself by playing my bro's toy car and some building stuff. then i left him for a while, cos i needed to prepare.. so i was in the room. then he walked (the baby's walk) and stopped outside my room n tilted his head a little so he could see me n he laughed. omg. cute! the 2nd time he did that.. but he went in.. meddled a little while there, n i carried him out.. back to his toys.

so i called wf to see if he could drive us out.. n we decided on raffles city, cos my bro wanted so much to see hongren and he was at nlb. so yup. he ran around in robinsons and marks n spencer... a baby so full of energy, leaving us begging for help. wf did most of the catching, while i stood n watched. haha. the 3 of us tried so hard to keep him entertained in the toys section.. our 'rest' time.. but it was really fun having the baby around.. n he was in a super good mood. no mood swings, no crying.. ahha.. was just laughing all the way, enjoying himself..

so yup, one enjoyable afternoon gone with the baby. then we parted cos mum n bro went with weigu to yet-con while wf n i joined mq, fiona n hean at the makeshift chinatown eating place. ordered stingray, squid, mussels, veg... shared some desserts, n we went tcc at nafa. then it was time to go back.. went to bed ard 12 last nite.. n i'm feeling very sleepy.. *yawns*

anyway, looking forward to the next weekend! 4 more days to go!!

a brand new year, a brand new beginning..

welcome 2007!! before i start making my resolutions, here are some events that happened during the last few days of 2006.

christmas, 22-27th dec 2006
arrived in ipoh on 23 n departed for penang on 24th.
counted down to xmas in penang.
overall, i had an enjoyable trip. those 5 days were loved by me thoroughly. i love asia. i can spend so much more freely than in The UK. not like i don't spend there, i admit. =P
but we definitely spent ALOT. haha. splurging quite a bit. =P we were even stuck in jusco, a shopping mall, cos we didn't have enough money and there weren't ATMs there! can anyone imagine a shopping mall without ATM? that was something we couldn't figure out. hehe. too much to say bout this trip.

after the trip was back to work. sucks. the feeling of having to work after playing for days was torturing. hahaha. lazy me. anyway, the 4 days holidays was fun! 30 till 2nd jan. on the 30th, went to get stuff for the next day. went concourse to get the sparklers and the apparently not working confetti thing. whee! fun! new year eve was spent in meiqian's house. this kind girl agreed to 'open her house' for celebration. =) bought the stuff for steamboat in the morn, oh n my dear mum helped us buy meat n made almond jelly (tho we didn't get to eat that). we stayed up till like 2 am the nite b4? all in all, i was tired.. haha. after the scrumptious steamboat, which i totally enjoyed, we went changi point to play sparklers. received 2007 there! then, we played games accompanied with alcohol. went to a dessert stall opposite great world city for supper. then everyone went home. and so, another fun day was over.

went suntec on mon, cos meiqian wanted to get ipod nano. rich girl. then, we went nydc for a yummy baked rice. i had 3 amigo or something like that. not bad.. it was good. but too bad, my gastric failed me. so sad. so pain. went great world to catch a movie. night at the museum. it was apparently a funny show, comedy ma. hmm. everyone laughed. but i didn't laugh much, cos i was in pain. haha. oh well, poor me. before the movie started, wf went to take a look at country manna, where my bro worked. he was there. so he kind of waited till the end of movie, so he could join me to go back home.

went somewhere near fiona's house for porridge. yum yum! it was good! then, we headed home. another fun day was over. i can't really remember where we went on saturday night, due to my short term memory. hmm.

as for tue.. hmm. oh! i went to orchard with wf, where i saw GG<5>

4 days ended like that. OH! back to my topic. resolutions. haha

1. find a better paying job

2. settling down with my working life (mentally)

3. be a better daughter, sister and gf (to wf n my girlfrens!)

4. STRIVE to be a better person!! STRIVE!


P.S. i know i've got tons of photos to upload. wedding at pan pacific, xmas, new year etc. but somehow, whenever i get home, i become a couch potato. hmm. i'll try to load photos SOON! till then!
