getting used to working...

it's been 3 wks of work! ha! i find that this job keeps me going. i don't have to drag myself to work everyday. good sign. n i got my 1st pay on fri! well, but it's pro-rated. waiting for the next month's pay. ha.. 1 month away. n i've got some tasks to finish by mon. i like being bz cos it kills time. =)

anyway, i met jean today!! like finally.. haha! but the baby wasn't in too good a mood today. quite sad. babies r so adorable!! really.

not much to blog about. but all i can conclude. im beginning to like work. good!

the nothing-much-to-say times..

bored. i feel like typing just the word n post. ha! but i think i'm still not THAT bored. i'm not really bored. it's just that i don't have much to say. oh! actually i have!!

attention to all sc girls ar.. very hard to get leh. grr! i'm so sad. i just realised that it's so difficult to get just 10 pple. 10 only!! don't know what to say. shirley, if u're reading this, i have to really apologise to you. i'll try to get more pple on my part, but if all else fails, i really feel bad. cos u're the 1st to say that u wanted to go!! but if we can't get 10 pple, we can't go! how?? things are actually quite simple. but it's the pple (us), that makes it complicated.

on the other note, i'm really very glad when i feel the effort being put in by my poly mates. ha! meiqian, vincent n clem are planning this thing.. n since they're having exams now, richard actually advertised their programme for them!! i was so pleased. he told me that he mass mailed, put ad on his multiply but has no reply. so he thinks that it was not done well enough and so, he decided to make it more colourful! haha.. pple who received his/my email... it's his EFFORT k!! appreciate it. i think it's the thought that counts. he's really thoughtful. so, the 3 organisers, go ahead n do it!! we'll try to get more pple! hmm.. should we give out pamphlets too? haha. kidding.

first day of 1st job (contract tho)

it was boring. n i was told i have more of these days to go. some say 1st week is boring, one said, his 1st 1 n a half months was boring. omg! anyway, i was sick on this very 1st day, of all days. well, i went HR, den had a short orientation.. bout the job benefits n all.. den was brought around. it was like a maze.. confusing offices with many similar partitions.. plus the fact that i'm quite bad in my sense of direction. oh wells. but at the very least, i know where the pantry, n ladies are. haha! aren't those the most important places? oh ya. regarding the pantry. wow. man was i surprised. well, it wasn't very grand to say, but there were 2 coffee making machines, with cafe espresso, cafe mocha, n no. 4 was milo. ha. ya.. u get the idea. ok. not THAT good yet. then my eyes caught the drawers full of instant packs! one drawer, chrysanthemum tea, another, lipton tea. haha. im happy.

guess another good and bad thing bout this job for now, is the working hours. the bad thing is that i end late. i'll usually be happy at 330pm cos i know i only have about 1 hr left, but NOW, i end at nearly 6. sigh! however, the good thing is, i get to wake up late! an hr later. it makes ALOT of difference. ha. but still tired la.

i was asked read their SOPs and WIs and to familiarise myself with their system, G drive.. n all the documents in it. calculations n all. then, i was given an engineering line drawing, to familiarise myself with the symbols. there r easily a thousand of them! im not kidding. i wish i had a 100GB storage in my brain. but i guess it's neverending. it's true! our brains r genius! pure geniuses! ok, den i had my email account set up. cool.

finally, after a much awaited 9hrs of work, (actually it's less than that, given the fact that i had orientation n stuff which took up nearly half a day.. now im wondering how i'm going to spend the whole of tmr!) i knocked off quite punctually.

then i met dear. he's so nice to have met me after my work, n it's monday today u know! haha. went for dinner n shop ard tho i still can't find clothes that im satisfied with. sigh. anyway, he accompanied me all the way near my house. so sweet huh? =P a short evening tog, but i really appreciate his efforts. really. it's like a nerd giving u a few hours of his studying time. n doesn't show the least bit of discontentment. now u know why im very appreciative right? heh.

anyway, despite the boring day i had, im still quite happy la. heh.
